Christmas 2007

This year was Cooper's second Christmas. There were so many presents under the tree and 90% of them were all for him. We are so blessed to have such loving friends and family. Travis and I were of course up even before Cooper was. I have always had this problem on Christmas morning. I can't sleep and I want everyone else to get up early with me. I, like a good mother, let him sleep in. Coop was a little overwhelmed with everything, but enjoyed all his gifts. He wanted to play with each one after he opened it.

I got a big surprise myself, Travis is giving me LASIK. I am a little frightened since my appointmet if everything goes well is only a week away. I could possilby have perfect vision in less than 2 weeks. So scary.

Travis is gettting his much coveted Sea Plane rating,. I also gave him a solar power device charger. Go Green!

Anyway, we had a very merry Christmas and hope you all did too!

December at the Beach? Yes in South Texas!

Yesterday was the perfect day to go to the beach because it was 80 degrees! At one point I saw the car temp say 85, and I always round up the five so it really was like 90. And 90 means summer. So in short, yesterday was like summer. We shopped, saw santa, (cooper was terrified, he had a look of dismay for at least 10 minutes after he saw santa. I hope he wasn't too traumatized.) and I bought my first honeybaked ham for Christmas. We are going to have it Christmas eve for breakfast before Whit leaves, and again Christmas day for dinner. Whitney and I rounded our evening off with making homemade cards. Travis really wanted to help, but we told him he better do something else instead.
:)

Aunt Whinny is Here!

Whitney is finally here! It seemed like she would never come! Cooper has been loving life, he thinks that she is pretty fun, and she is. She is so great about playing with him and keeping his attention. We went to San Antonio on Wednesday, and visited the riverwalk and the alamo. We took a little detour into the River Center mall where Whitney was able to visit forever 21. I think it is safe to say fun was had by all.

Who Needs This Much Soda?

Part of Travis' birthday present went to something he has been wanting for some time. This is not a joke, This mug (it is bigger in person, I think it might be 64 oz) is filled with Diet Dr. Pepper with Vanilla from stripes. We actually discussed possible moving locations that may have a stripes.

Putting on the ritz

I totally have putting on the ritz in my head right now. Travis and I went to the VT-31 Christmas Party. It was held at the Kings Crossing Country Club. It was pretty nice, there were lots of prizes, which we did not win a single one. I was so sad. I am over it now., really I am. I had fun getting dressed up, I even got a pedicure. My hair was really cute, but you couldn't tell in the picures.

VT-31 KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTY

We held our last big event at PAO and Assistant PAO (Public Affairs Officer, and wife). It turned out really well, who doesn't love Santa and presents with a mixture of donuts and airplanes. We got there pretty early and Cooper loved walking around the airplanes. He has been sick again, so he got a little gumpy but still had fun. Santa and his elf taxied in on a t-44, then handed out presents to all those good boys and girls. Afterwards when everyone left we played around in the static display, I think we have a future pilot on our hands. The boy loves levers.

After our party, Travis and I went to a movie and dinner, Dinner was great. Movie was lame. No one see Beowulf. We never see movies, so we didn't know anything about it. It was animated, which I hated and it was really gorry, not even pg-13 appropriate I thought. We still enjoyed going on a date, and I think Travis overall had a good 31st birthday.
