A Date?

We actually went on a date with out Cooper. For us it has been a long time. Not that I am against leaving Cooper I just always forget and don't plan ahead, and then I don't have a babysitter. We went to a matinee of Indiana Jones. It was fantastic! I loved it, or I just loved being not attached at the hip. Either way you look at it, it was a fun 3 hours. After Coop's nap we went to the beach for a bonfire. Cooper had a blast of course and we roasted hot dogs that were just a little gritty from the sand blowing. I didn't get in the water because there was sea lice (little bugs that bite), but there were a few brave souls out there. Travis braved it but I think he was sorry after he had one trying to crawl in his bum. Anyway it was a fun way to spend the day together.

Temple Trip and the Zoo

This past weekend we finally got our behinds to the temple. It had been too long. With the help of some trusty friends we were able to go the 8 am session. We went up to San Antonio with some friends and we watched their kids while they went to a session and then they watched Cooper while we went to a session. We also got to go to pei wei and Red Robin and while the kids were alseep the men folk ran to Cold Stone. We got our fill of our favorite places. After the temple we went over to the zoo. The zoo was fun, but it was HOT! The heat index must of been around 105+. After seeing the main animals the kids wanted to see and spending at least 20-25 bucks on drinks to keep us hydrated we left. It was fun and Cooper got to spend the whole time with Emma (his girlfriend). Thanks Adam and Tynel for coming with us!

I am so excited that my sister Lindsey is finally starting her own photography company. She has been doing photography for ever for other people, and she is finally branching off. It is an excititng time and a scary one as well. She is awesome, so she has nothing to worry about. If you have a chance check her out. I am so proud of her. Love you Lindsey!

Beach to Bay and Grandpa

So, Travis ran the first leg in the beach to bay marathon. It is supposed to be the hardest leg because it is the leg on the sand. He did awesome for not really training at all. I am so proud of him. My friends from the ward ran it, and I was supposed to but alas I got pregnant. Maybe next year Whitney and I can run it together. Hey Whitney? Travis finished in 42 minutes I think. He did great. I don't have a picture of him finishing but i have one of Brock Tripplet the one who Travis handed the baton on to.

Later that morning (it took us 2 hours to get off the island after the race with all the traffic) my dad came in from Austin. He had a business trip there on thursday and Friday and it was so fun to have him visit. Cooper loved having Grandpa around. We had a quick but fun visit. Love you dad!

Also, a small side note, I found my bobbi brown makeup brush! I am so glad!

Last Day of Preschool

Today we had our last day of preschool. We read different Dr. Suess books and had activities that went with the story. We made Dr. Suess hats and read the foot book and tried on shoes, and read hop on pop and decorated the fish in the tree. We also made green and eggs and ham, and the kids had fun making the sugar cookie eggs. We will be sad Abbi Hanson is moving, but we had fun celebrating Dr. Suess.

Ramblings and Catching Up

I am not sure if anyone has noticed but I am really not a long blogger. I have a hard time writing a lot of anything. I think it is because I feel like everyday is the same and really who wants to read that? Although, I have saved up a lot and so I am going to do my best to ramble a little bit. Here it goes:

April- Whatever happened to April? It seems like it just sorta flew by. I flew back to Utah for a visit with my family. It was fun to spend some time with my sisters and brothers. I miss having those moments. Cooper loved it, he loved to sit down with a big family for dinner and he loved playing with everyone. A common thing to come out of his mouth was, "Colby where are you?"
Cooper ended up getting sick for almost half the time we were there and that was a big bummer. He was a grump, and he just wanted me to hold him and he was always yelling and being mean to everyone else. Poor family. We went to the Ogden's treehouse (so cute if you have never been) with my mom. We had lots of fun. I was able to get a few of my favorite things while I was there (see's truffles I love the lemon and raspberry and pineapple. Lee's Mongonlian BBQ in Ogden, I always have to go there.) I was starting to feel better and it shows i gained 6 lbs in 2 weeks while was in UT. This is so not fair! I hate this part of pregnancy. Can't I just gain like a 1lb a week or something?

I also had a chance to visit my friend Andrea from Alaska. She was a neighbor and in the military and in my ward. If that isn't a recipe for a best friend, I am not sure what else it could be. Well, she also loves the same books as me and she is one of the funniest and coolest people I know. I loved seeing them again! It felt so normal like we were neighbors again. I miss them.

Travis flew in on a cross country with one of his students for about 48 hours. Coop was so happy to have him there and so was all his family too. It was fun to catch up with the whole Christensen clan and see all my nieces and nephews.

It was sad to leave, but always nice to get back home too. I have been super busy doing hair since I have gotten back, Hopefully I get catched up soon.

So that was my rambling so far, pretty good for me, hopefully not to boring for you!
