A little about us!

Amber Bright did this on her blog, so I thought it might be fun:

How did you meet your spouse? Well- this is a strange story, but Travis was stationed at HAFB in his home town. Really, he went to high school outside the bases gates. I had moved back to UT from Chicago, and he was visiting my singles ward. I was speaking in church that sunday and he swears I was staring at him the whole time. (which is totally not true) He deployed to Turkey and My bishop asked me if I would write to him as part of my compassionate service calling. To say the least we wrote and emailed and for about a month and we went on our fist date the day after he got back.

How long have you been together? we got enganged about 10 days after we went on our fist date so we have been together a little over 7 years

How long have you been married ? 7 years in July

Who said I love you first? It is sad to say but me, I did it on accident

Who is taller? Well Travis is 6 foot 5 inches and I am 5 feet 3 inches- so Travis

Who sings better? travis, I am a horrible singer

Who is smarter? These questions are making me feel bad, Travis is way smarter

Who does the laundry? mostly me

Who does the dishes? again mostly me

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Travis

Who mows the lawn? mowing? Someone is supposed to mow?

Who cooks dinner? me, when I get the motivation up..

Who drives when you are together? Travis, I think it drives him crazy when I drive

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Usually Travis, because i am usually right:)

Whose parents do you see the most? They live just a few blocks away from each other so both

Who kissed who first? Well . . .I think it was mutual. We kind of kissed on our fist date

Who proposed? WE decided we wanted to get married around 10 days post first date but the actual proposal was in an airplane with my name written on the ground. "Taryn Marry ME?"

Who is more sensitive? Of course me, I cry all the time

Who has more siblings? We are tied, each family has 6 kids, although I am the second oldest and he is the baby.

I tag everyone else!!! Let me know how you & your sweetie are connected!! :)

Spring Break + Sea World= Too Many People

Travis had yesterday off , so we decided to take our selves up to San Antonio for a little spring break fun. We did have fun but I suppose I just couldn't imagine how many people can fit into one park. Travis and I decided we just had to relax and take our time and not let the crowds bother us. Cooper didn't care about catching it all, he thought it was fun no matter what we did. Cooper loved the dolphin show and the sea lion show. He also had a great time getting lost in the pirate ship, luckily someone helped him along or we might still be looking for him up in those rope tunnels. It was a beautiful day, sunny but not too warm. I love this part of South Texas.

My Nesting Bird

So, Cooper has taken to creating little nests for himself out of ALL his blankets. As soon as I put him to bed he gets up and gets all his blankets out and creates himself his little bird nest complete with toys. He has to have a handful of things to play with in his bed. Crazy little bird boy!

My Cousin did this on her blog and I have a bad memory so I thougth I would try it out:

20 years ago:
I was 8, I had a bad perm. I remember all my cousins coming to my baptizm. I remember feeling really special that everyone was there for me. I wore a blue skirt with flowers. My best friends were Micah Elgreen and Camille, and Jaime. We went to Yellowstone that year and they had all the fires.

10 years ago:
I graduated high school (ahh! I can't believe it!) That summer we moved from Chicago back to Uah. I remember feeling like I didn't belong in Utah anymore, I felt different than all my cousins and neighbors. I remember the awe of living so close to church, i had forgotten how convienent it was to live in UT. My best friends were Ryan Morris and Ericka. I still think about them all the time and wonder what they are doing. I got a job working at the Health and Wellness Clinic and bought my first car.

5 years ago:
I was 24 and we lived in Corpus Christi, just like now, except Travis was a student here and now he is an instructor. We got Roxie about this time and she was the cutest puppy ever.

3 years ago:
We lived in Alaska, my favorite place so far. We had a great time living there. I finished hair school and we went to Ireland. We bought our first house there and loved it. I got pregnant with cooper.

1 year ago:
We moved to Corpus Christi again. Cooper turned one and grew up too fast. I was put in the YW presidency of our ward and Travis was in the Elders Quarem Presidency.

So far this year:
Travis and I have been married for almost 7 years, Cooper turned 2 and we keep ourselves pretty busy. I do hair at home and Travis is busy instructing Navy, Airforce, marines and coastguard students. I am still in YW, but Travis is now the scout master.

Huntin' for some Eggs

Saturday was the squadron Easter party. It was nice and relaxing, It was a lot easier to enjoy it when you don't have to plan it. Cooper had a great day. In fact, we were watching a friends little boy, Shane and they had so much fun together. In a way it seemed easier to have him with us all day. They entertained each other and played, and played. They both loved their bunny hats and liked to pretend to jump like a bunny. Cooper had one small incident he jumped into a sticky trap at the party and was stuck. Something only a boy would do.
