Cold Comfort Farm

It has already been a favorite movie- but for some reason I have never read the book. Just started chapter 3 and I am in {love} already.
Favorite quotes so far:
'The education bestowed on Flora Poste by her parents had been expensive, athletic and prolonged; and when they died with a few weeks of one another during the annual epidemic of the influenza or spanish plague which occured in her twentieth year, she was discovered to possess every art and grace save that of earning her own living."
"Of course, if you encourage people to think the're messy, they will be messy..."
"Mrs Smiling's second intrest was her collection of brassieres, and her search for a perfect one. She was reputed to have the largest and finest colelction of these garments in the world. It was hoped that on her death it would be left to the nation.
She was the authority on the cut, fit, colour, construction and proper functioning of brassieres; and her friends had learned that her interest, even in moments of extreme emotional or physical distress, could be aroused aner composure restored by the hasty utterance of the phrase:
'I saw a brassiere today, Mary that would have interested you...'"

Aaargh! It's a pirate Party
Cooper blowing out his candles
Walking the plank
here is the outside. I was proud of myself, I think I did pretty good.
Check out my tree's.
Getting ready to fill the cake with Ghiradelli chocolate frosting. Yumm!
Looky whose 3! I can hardley believe my little guy is now 3 (well tomorrow he is). Wow Cooper we are so proud of you and the big boy you are. Here is a look into our pirate party. We made home made pizza (Linds your recipe worked great), hunted for treasure and played lots of games. Thanks to all his wonderful little friends who came and made the day so special.

mini vacation
New Years weekend we decided we needed a little mini vacation to mix up the holiday. Liam was on the mend and it was my birthday after all. Sadly, I turned 26, I mean 29, one more year until my twenties are gone. Travis took me to the guenther house in SA (which I highly suggest to anyone who is there, they serve breakfast, brunch and lunch) YUMMM! It was very good, and what a beautiful location too. We spent New Years Eve in Austin ( I hate Austin traffic) and Travis ordered me the Great Wall of Chocolate cake for dessert, with a chopstick candle to boot.
We then went to Dallas to see my Uncle and Aunt and 2 fabulous cousins. We had a great time reconnecting with everyone. They even babysat while we went to the Dallas Temple. It was so nice to get to go. We played games had a wonderful dinner provided by my gourmet cook of a cousin. I finally saw the King Tut exhibit which was so cool, but as you can see in the picture Cooper was not as impressed.
