Our First Fip

We got a new Flip, here is our first video using our new flash memory camcorder. This is going to be really fun to use.

All that we have wanted to do but yet have....

It seems like everytime we get towards the end of our stay somewhere we get that itch to catch up on all that we have wanted to do but yet have. We have been pretty good but still haven't seen it all. This is what we did right before we moved in Alaska. We went to Denali National Park and Wrangall St. Elias and went to the Kennicot mines. It was amazing. This weekend we are going to go to Fredricksburg Texas to see the Hill Country and go camping at Canyon Lake. We are going to stay at these beauties http://www.mycountryinn.com/directions.html. We are also go to the Salt Lick (http://www.saltlickbbq.com) which was featured on the Food Network. It should be a great weekend. We need to get some time away. It may not be the same as our weekend trips in Ak, but I think it will be just as fun.

Valentines Day 2010

I have to say i just looove Valentines Day. Growing up my mom loved it too so we always made valentines and those great valentines boxes and cookies. We ate conversation heart cookies until we were sick and most important a very mysterious man named the "Valentines Man" left us goodies on the door step. I tried to make it special for the family too, just like my mom used to. We made cookies, had a little friend get together to decorate the cookies and passed out valentines. On Sunday I made a special dinner with sparkling cider (which the kids love) and of course our visitor came. He kinda spoiled the kids this year, but he seems to love them as much as I do.

We got an assignment...can you guess....to where?....

The time is getting close for us to move again. It is bittersweet, I have really learned to love it here. It is always the people that make it so great, and i have once again met some pretty fantastic people. How will I say good bye, I won't think of it now, but it is going to be tough. Not only have I found some wonderful friends but my kids have too. We have until this summer so I am going to live in the present and not the future until it is time to go.

Now the fun part, If you can't tell from the pictures we are going to Colorado Springs, I am so excited about it. I prayed so hard that we can be closer to family, and I felt my prayers were selfish to want something like that for myself. I am happy that Heavenly Father feels that it is right for us to move there too. 12 hours from home, seems like a dream. Cooper on hearing that we are going to Colorado asked if there was snow, and mountains and I said there was going to be alot. He quickly replied that he loves snow and sledding. He is a mountain boy just like his mommy! Liam yelled when he found out but I wasn't sure if it is because he yells all the time or if he was just that excited. Roxy can't wait to grow her fur back out, she is tired of her embarrassing haircuts we keep giving her.
Mostly I am so excited to be just 1.5 hours away from a temple. That is pretty close for us, and I can't wait to go.

This is my monkey and that is what we call him most of the time now. He is INSANE, he climbs on anything and everything. His climbing has progressed to scaling kitchen and bathroom cabinets when a stool or other means can't be found.
