I want this.....

Isn't this the most adorable creepy fabric you have ever seen....I must sew something out of this!  Marette if you are reading this...I just have a feeling you too would love this as much as me.

Three boys and an airplane

The fourth boy was scared out of his wits....I am glad he just wanted to be with his mommy.

Travis came for a little visit last weekend as a surprise to the boys.  I told Cooper we had to pick up a package.  Travis flew in on a small plane with a friend who also is stationed here, and is in LR on a TDY.  It was very convienent to have a buddy to fly home with and split the costs with.  When Travis started walking up I told Cooper that there was our package.  He said,"that man is our package?"  It was pretty funny, but then he realized it was daddy.  He only could stay 2 days, but they were pretty wonderful days.

New Serger Giveaway at Sew Mama Sew

My favorite fabric website is giving a new serger away with the answer to this question:

How would my life be better with a new Serger:

How would my life not be better!  One, my sewing machine stinks...I can't sew anything until I get it serviced and it is just a regular sewing machine not a serger. Although, I have never used a Serger before I can just tell that it would change my life...I could sew clothes, finish blankets, sew hard to use fabric...make gifts.  Oh the fabric I would buy...I just can imagine it now!   Also..my husband is on a TDY with the military for 3 months it would really help keep my mind off being alone too.  I would just sew everynight when the kids went to sleep, I would have something to look forward to.

Lagoon with the Davis gang.

Lagoon with the Davis family was so much fun, Andrea and I met in Alaska when she brought her girls in to the salon I worked at.  We quickly found out that we were neighbors and we went to church together and...our parents lived 7 min. away from each other.  Besides that we both like all the same things...especially Bobbi Brown makeup and purses.   Jett was born a few months before Cooper and so we can safely say they have been friends since birth. It didn't take them long to get reacquainted and rush from one ride to the next holding hands.  Ella and Liam on the other hand just gave each other constant crusties from their separate strollers.  Cooper rode his first real roller coaster the Bat, and loved it!  We had a blast hanging out, now we just need to figure out how we can get stationed together again, and it would be perfect.

Last Days in Corpus....

Add caption
Out for dinner with friends...this ending up being one of the funniest dinner outs I have ever had.  The waitress was drunk and the owner made us the most interesting tin foil creations.  It was too bizzare.
The last few weeks of Corpus were filled with doing our last of everything, Travis completing his "fini" flight, spending one more day with our dear friends, and Cooper going on the log ride at Sea World for the first time, his first big ride.  Travis trying to burn our really important papers on the beach, it really just seemed like too much to shred.  It ended up being a bad idea, really big winds, too much paper and a dead line to pick up Cooper at the primary activity (also not sure it is something your are even allowed to do) created  created a humorous and rushed paper burning expierence.

Oh poop! Time to change.

I found this link when I was looking into LDS homeschooling, it was on the blog of www.latterdayhomeschooling.com. I guess that means that I should NOT watch, The Housewives of wherever and not watch all that other guilty pleasure junk tv that I so like to defizz to every once in awhile. Oh poop!

"♥ Create an environment and climate where the Spirit of God can be.

What pictures adorn the walls of your homes?
Is there a feeling of order or chaos?
What movies, music, magazines, books, and tv programs are you, as the mother, letting into your home?
'Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. Whatever happens in that home and family happens because she cares about it and it matters to her. She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her . . .Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight'~ Julie B.
